Impeach him now!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

$6.5M over 5 years. $1.1M first year with $100k raise each year. The arms race continues and raises the bar on MW salaries. Musselman’s contract and extension are under discussion so expect to see him top this in the off-season. Unsure how this affects Smith’s negotiations but it can’t help.

Re: UNLV finds their coach
I believe an increased compensation package for Coach Smith and staff has been under way for some time now. I also believe there are assets available to make good on the proposed increases. Already excited about the coming AGGIE B B season and I've been a football guy for decades.
Re: UNLV finds their coach
I had a dream 2 weeks ago...... Craig Smith was being introduced as the new head coach at TCU. I thought no way, Jamie Dixon isn’t getting fired He is now being rumored for the UCLA job. CS don’t do it!!!!!

Re: UNLV finds their coach
I know tcu seems like a sweet gig. Craig Smith I know you or somebody you know read these boards. Tcu is not the job Utah state is. We will pack that arena for you every night from here on out. They may offer a mill plus.... you will never get the excitement you felt in the spectrum that night you felt against Nevada. I grew up going to the spectrum. I was one of those kids in the front row in the student section who painted themselves all blue for a 10 o clock espn game against ur Irvine. The spectrum is a magical place. I grew up a husker fan and also and have been to memorial stadium for a lot of special Nebraska football games, and honestly the spectrum magic is so much more special and impactful in my childhood memories than any Nebraska football game I’ve ever been to! Logan is a special place and if any one that knows Craig is reading this, let him know that going to tcu will never ever be as meaningful to him or the fans as what he has brought back to logan. It means so much to that community and you will forever be a legend and a hero in that special place. That’s more than money and anything you could ever ask. You will never regret being an Aggie for life. Ask stew Merrill. GO AGGIES!!AGGZILLA wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2019, 5:24 pmLooks like some of their fans are on the same wavelength as you, j5b-

Re: UNLV finds their coach
I remember when Gary Andersen left us. After that experience, I vowed to never get too upset about a coach leaving. It is the business, and we pay less. I'm just happy that we have Smith. I will enjoy what he does for as long as he is here.

Re: UNLV finds their coach
Good. TCU giving in on lowering the buyout would make it easier for other schools to get similar buyouts lowered. Jamie Dixon had the chance when he first negotiated the contract to ask for a clause that he could leave for UCLA for no penalty. Like when Urban Meyer was at Utah, he had a clause in his contract that he could have left for Michigan, Ohio State or Notre Dame for no penalty, then Florida willingly paid a buyout that those three schools would not have.

Re: UNLV finds their coach
Smith isnt gonna leave after 1 year guys. All this paranoia is for nothing. Just because we are good again doesnt mean the coach will leave and the star freshman will be one and done. We can have nice things.
