Bernardo Da Silva
Read that he is weighing his options and might not end up at BYU. 6’9”guy with a 7’2” wingspan from Wasatch Academy originally from Brazil. Not necessarily a position of need but i think he is a pretty talented kid. I believe a while back he unofficially visited maybe with condie?

Re: Bernardo Da Silva
Can he weigh his options if he has already signed? I think he could be an awesome addition but probably not until 2020. Anybody know how that would work? There would be some cosmic justice if he dropped BYU for USU. It would be fun to watch cougar board go into full on melt down.

I believe when a head coach leaves you can be released from your letter of intent.

You sign with the school, not the coach. If he signed he has to sit a year unless he is a football player that wants to play at Alabama, Ohio State, or Oklahoma.slcagg wrote:I believe when a head coach leaves you can be released from your letter of intent.

I feel like a 6'9 guy with a wingspan of 7'2 is always a position of need. Especially if Fakira is out.slcagg wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 3:52 amRead that he is weighing his options and might not end up at BYU. 6’9”guy with a 7’2” wingspan from Wasatch Academy originally from Brazil. Re: Bernardo Da Silva
Nah, I’m just speculating that he could be the third rumored potential departure. Also, more just stating that we’d have a need for Da Silva if he did leave. Nothing at all against giving Fakira another year to see if he develops at all.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 10:30 amDid I miss something? Re: Bernardo Da Silva
I keep thinking it will be Stall... What's our list rn? Ainge, Knight... and we're expecting one more? I doubt Porter leaves as a grad transfer. His degree is in business, so he could start an MBA or something, and he probably isn't a hot commodity anyway. Fakira could be, but if he was leaving, I would imagine that would have been a quicker decision. It just seems like Stall is the most likely to leave after all the injuries.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 11:02 amNah, I’m just speculating that he could be the third rumored potential departure.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 10:30 amDid I miss something? Is this last rumored player being counseled out, or leaving for more PT somewhere else?

Re: Bernardo Da Silva
Not sure — I’m just going off of posts in the other thread that there could be one more departure. Stall seems like a possibility too for health reasons.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 11:08 amI keep thinking it will be Stall... What's our list rn? Carlito connection, maybe?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

At least we still have 2 Portuguese-speaking players! To make him feel at home....

Re: Bernardo Da Silva
The odds narrow considerably when you consider size, sport, and inclination to play abroad.
