Just came out after the title game.....Utah State at #18!!! Also, Marquette at #2 and it mentions the addition of Kobe.

Hmmmm, Do you have a link? The one I saw had the Utes at 18 and didn't have us at all.

Others I've seen:

Jeff Goodman has us at 19, Jon Wilner has us at 21.

Gary Parrish did not put us in his Top 25 and 1.

Starting the season ranked would be amazing. Anyone know when last time that has happened?

That's assuming it even has happened in the past, which I would be amazed if it did! So the real question is, has it ever happened at all?

This is great news! So exciting. Hopefully this will lead to many sellouts in basketball and maybe even football next year. We have to be considered one of the best football/basketball schools in the nation. I never thought I would ever see this in my lifetime. It's a great day to be an Aggie!

Haha wow! That is crazy... I mean I'm thrilled to see us getting so much respect, but that top ten ranking is hard to believe/justify. We didn't even show very well as an 8 seed this year. I guess we do return almost all contributors. What a time to be an Aggie!

That is crazy. Hopefully the hype helps us land an elite grad transfer PG or PG/SG.

My personal projection is somewhere between 15-35. I think anything higher or lower than that range is on the optimistic/pessimistic sides.

Going from picked 9th...to picked 9th.

This means that we are in the preseason rankings already similar to Nevada’s situation last preseason. This also means that we have a great opportunity to get a great seed next season.

This. I hope that the hype works out heavily in our favor for recruiting. And there's a lot of hype. Having a great year, having a new coach described as having done "one of the best coaching jobs in America this season", having almost everyone return, possibly being ranked before the season begins.
