Some of you owe me a lot of money
I remember around this time last year there was a lot of talk about the basketball team and how Smith would do and there was a lot of negativity around the hire. I thought I'd remembered making a post betting anyone that the team would make the NCAA Tournament within the next two years. Some of you took the bet. Some of you even escalated it to $1,000.
I'd like to collect my money.

Re: Some of you owe me a lot of money
If by "some of you" you mean usufan5477, then yes, it appears that he does owe you $1,000. I also don't remember much negativity around the hire except for the negativity that came from usufan5477 and maybe one other poster. Unfortunately once Duryea was out the door and Smith started winning, usufan5477 slowly disappeared into the hedges, so you'll likely have a hard time collecting.

Re: Some of you owe me a lot of money
I like this one from that thread. Oops.
"The JC recruits, Knight III and Davis, look good. I even like the two freshman. T. Knight could turn into a solid pure PG, and Fakira a solid post player. I'm just not impressed by Queta. The HS senior to be that we offered earlier this month, Olamuyiwa, is a better player. That was a good offer. That doesn't make me negative, it means that I live in reality, not some fantasy world where everyone agrees on everything."

Re: Some of you owe me a lot of money
I am curious to know from you lawyers out there, if a $1000 bet on an anonymous message board is legally binding? I seem to remember from my business law class that a text message could be viewed as a contract, I wonder if it is the same sort of thing here.
Though its been a while since I took business law, and I didn't do great in the class, so my memory could be shaky.

Even rAggie didn't foresee how great this past season would be. He was on the same track as USUBlue. I'm glad we were all proven wrong.

Re: Some of you owe me a lot of money
I'm guessing that it possibly could be but I also don't see anywhere that rAggie agreed to the bet. Be offered a $100 bet and there was a response for a $1000 bet but no agreement to that bet.LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑May 29th, 2019, 2:27 pmI am curious to know from you lawyers out there, if a $1000 bet on an anonymous message board is legally binding? Nahhhhh... betting is illegal, so not enforceable. Or does this hypothetical take place in Nevada?LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑May 29th, 2019, 2:27 pmI am curious to know from you lawyers out there, if a $1000 bet on an anonymous message board is legally binding? Yes. But I don't know that I was having my best day . At least I was willing to quit while I was behind.ChicAggie wrote: ↑May 29th, 2019, 3:01 pmThat thread was an entertaining read. This was very fun looking back at the various evaluations of Queta and Smith. Safe to say for the most part last season surpassed even the most optimistic predictions.

Since we're getting all legal, I believe your screen name is very close to infringing on my brand. But perhaps we can reach a franchise agreement...LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑May 29th, 2019, 2:27 pmI am curious to know from you lawyers out there, if a $1000 bet on an anonymous message board is legally binding? Since we're talking about Neemy and predictions I thought I'd throw this out there:

I am happy to say that I liked his positioning and instincts on defense based on his film from the get go. But no, I had no idea how good this kid would be for us.

I just looked it up on the USPTO website and for “subject” you only put “butt, and butt related stuff.” You failed to get Aggies protected.LKGates wrote:Since we're getting all legal, I believe your screen name is very close to infringing on my brand.
