2 new staff members
Did we lose any assistants or staff members? They just announced 2 new additions to the staff so I'm wondering if we lost someone?

I'm waiting for permission to say where they went.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑June 12th, 2019, 12:52 pmDang. Where did Tramel Barnes go? I can't find anything online.

I've met Grabowski several times. He's one of the best guys I ever met in college hoops.
Your coach really knows what he is doing.

Re: 2 new staff members
Surely Mr. Walsh is lost, doesn't he know it is a prerequisite to be bald to coach USU hoops?

I believe Karius just got married over summer - and his wife is assistant at Univ of Wisconsin women’s hoops team. It seemed like would be forgone conclusion he would leave after the one year here??

Re: 2 new staff members
This is correct. Rick being on the USU hoops coaching staff was a one year deal and Coach Smith knew about it. He has gone to join his wife in Wisconsin.SpectrumMagic wrote: ↑June 12th, 2019, 1:40 pmI believe Karius just got married over summer - and his wife is assistant at Univ of Wisconsin women’s hoops team. There isn't anything online because Tramel has not been officially announced at his new gig. Tramel is soon going to be named an assistant coach at South Dakota State.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑June 12th, 2019, 12:52 pmDang. Where did Tramel Barnes go? I can't find anything online.

I'm willing to bet Eric Peterson would dispute that and I think Rags goes short by choice.

Surely one of them has a son who is a 5-star PG. I hear that’s the basis of hiring assistant coaches in the PAC-12.

Re: 2 new staff members
Tramel was fourth fiddle here behind Eric Peterson, Austin Hansen, and Dave Ragland. I think his move is a move up for him and with more experience comes a bigger, better resume'. There is always the potential for a return later.

In the event that Craig Smith were to ever leave, Eric Peterson is the man that should take his place.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑June 12th, 2019, 4:42 pmAfter the year we had to keep our top 3 assistants is amazing.

I met Grabowski today. He is a super nice guy and a great addition to the coaching staff. Great pick up by Smith. Smith absolutely knows what he is doing.
