You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

If you're talking about BYU, Yoeli Childs comes in at #17, 6 spots ahead of Sam.ShowMeAggie wrote: ↑October 24th, 2019, 12:59 pmhttps://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... 20-season/

I don't get why they think Yoeli is a better player than Sam. Maybe Neemie, but no way he is overall a better player!BigBlueDart wrote: ↑October 24th, 2019, 1:25 pmIf you're talking about BYU, Yoeli Childs comes in at #17, 6 spots ahead of Sam.ShowMeAggie wrote: ↑October 24th, 2019, 12:59 pmhttps://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... 20-season/

Re: 2 of the top 100 players in the country!
Was there any other Mountain West players listed? At first glance, it did not look like it. If that is the case, that is crazy we have 2 and no other conference mate has one listed!

Re: 2 of the top 100 players in the country!
Yoeli was on my nephews high school team at Bingham and was really talented but was so frustrating to watch. He played like he was playing pick up ball and hung around the three line all game and just played lazy. He must have picked up a work ethic though and I was surprised to see how good he actually turned out. He has a lot of natural ability with height and athleticism and I can understand someone ranking him higher. That being said I am happy we have Sam and not Yoeli. They’re just different styles of players. Yoeli is more of an NBA prospect and maybe that swayed opinions, but Sam is a more well rounded player that has done more with less physical attributes than Yoeli.RigAggie wrote: ↑October 24th, 2019, 1:32 pmI don't get why they think Yoeli is a better player than Sam. With Koby sitting out last season, he's kind of a forgotten commodity. We'll see how he does this year and if he plays well, he'll land on lists like this next season.

Koby and Brendan Bailey will be fun to watch from a Utah sports perspective. Brendan Bailey is a good dude.

Koby scored 10 points on 1-9 shooting and 8-8 from the FT line in Milwaukee . . . er Marquette's first exhibition game.

Re: 2 of the top 100 players in the country!
Article just came out on Sports Illustrated 15 minutes ago on the top 50 players in college basketball.
Sam Merrill #9
Neemias Queta #35
Wow is all I have to say!!!! Never seen so much national respect and don't remember last time we could say we had 2 of the top 35 players out of 347 college basketball teams. BTW, Yoeli Child's comes in at #25.

Re: 2 of the top 100 players in the country!
From the CBS sports article, we will play against 10 of the top 100 players next year:
Florida - 3 (5, 33, 43)
LSU - 3 (45, 56, 77)
St. Mary's - 1 (36)
CSU - 1 (95)
WSU - 1 (99)
BYU - 1 (18)
From the SI article, we will play against 5 of the top 50:
Florida - 3 (29, 44, 5)
St. Mary's - 1 (36)
BYU - 1 (25)
Pretty crazy. I wonder if we've ever played against this many great players in one season. Those Florida and LSU games are going to be tough.
