Weber state
What do we know about Weber? Just looking at their roster i would guess they essentially play a 3 guard lineup. The guards do look really good. The star of the group is the big sky preseason mvp in jerrick Harding. They also have a returning starter at guard who was honorable mention big sky last year in Cody John. The other starter at guard/wing is likely a transfer from Pitt in Kham Davis or returning starter in Israel Barnes.
From a big guy standpoint I’m not quite sure what they have. They do have back a former usu target in zdor. They also have a kid who is a jc transfer soph at 6’7”who was a former 4 star commit to St. John’s that might be the other starter? His name is Diokite. Other than that I’m not sure who may start but maybe im missing someone?
Overall looks like a really solid team that without queta will be a tough matchup for us and the game could possibly go either way in my opinion.

Re: Weber state
We do know that Harding is reportedly out with an injury.
We don’t know how that will impact the game

Re: Weber state
Randy is a good coach and will have his team ready. I expect it will be close for a half but then we open in 2nd half for a 15 point win. Lest we forget the last time Weber came to Logan they beat us. What was Weber picked in the preseason big sky poll?

Re: Weber state
It's missing. If they can find it before the game, there's a possibility he'll be good to go.

Re: Weber state
And Montana State was picked to finish 7th and I doubt Weber plays us as tough as Montana State did.
Re: Weber state
It’s a rivalry game for Weber
Not sure if we think it is
Historically they have played us tough
I think we will win but they scare me
I’m not going to jinx the Aggies

Re: Weber state
They have won 2 out of the last 3, including a win in Logan. Don’t sell them sort.
If Harding is out, that is a huge blow. Incredibly fun player to watch and is the heat and soul of their team.
The good news is that they are weak in the post so we won’t miss Queta as much. They have Kozac down lore who is a solid post defender/rebounder. He didn’t score much on the block, but can hit the three.
Perimeter defense is the key to this game. Under Rahe, Weber is historically proficient at greeting high percentage threes and knocking them down.

It is a rivalry for us too. 16.5 favorites seems high (it has moved slightly in Weber’s favor)CedarAg wrote:It’s a rivalry game for Weber

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Re: Weber state
To me, beating a consistently respectable program like Weber by 55 is much more impressive than beating the consistently worst team in college basketball (MVSU) by 94.

Re: Weber state
Except no Ute Fan would know that, because no one was there at the game. I have never seen a more empty stadium than last night (wasn't there, just saw the highlights on TV.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑November 9th, 2019, 8:18 amTo me, beating a consistently respectable program like Weber by 55 is much more impressive than beating the consistently worst team in college basketball (MVSU) by 94.
