What is the best start to an Aggie basketball season?

7-0 is something I don't remember. Even with the soft schedule of stew's tenure, I don't remember us starting 7-0. Does one of the board historians know if this has happened before?

We started 5-0 that year. The exhibition games don't count. The best start ever was 8-0 on 1961-62. If we beat St Mary's then we likely beat that (SJSU is next).

The proper way of saying it would be:

Utah State is off to its best start since going 6-1 to start the 2018-19 season.

I fully expect that will be in our next presser.

Best starts before the Captain's Era:

9-0 1917-18; 1938-39
8-0 1961-62
7-0 1913-14; 1933-34; 1934-35
6-0 1921-22; 1966-67

and there've been a whole lot of 5-0 starts.
