Resting Merrill?

Post by Madmartigan » December 8th, 2019, 7:47 am

While I appreciate Merrill gutting these games out on a bum ankle, I wonder if the coaching staff is considering giving him rest until BYU. We can win on Tuesday without him. I may have a nervous breakdown if we lose to BYU for the 8th time in a row. Having a healthier Merrill would help. Right now he is athletically limited laterally due to the ankle.

Think of the added strain that carrying every other perimeter player on our team must be having on that ankle. Between Brito, Porter, and Miller we are talking somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 pounds weighing him down out there.
