Re: Utes
Why is Kentucky ranked so high? They’ve lost some odd gMes and a lot of average to poor teams have played them close. Their net ranking is 66 and they are 6 in the polls. Talk about bias. The sec as a whole doesn’t look so good.

Re: Utes
I honestly didn’t even know (or care) that the Utes played last night until I read this post. I still don’t really care.

Re: Utes
UVU would have beaten Kentucky as well had the refs not taken over at the end.

Re: Utes
I made a thread pointing out that there is a group of teams that completely don’t belong in the top 25. Kentucky was definitely one, and Kentucky is not the only one by any means. Look at Kentucky’s schedule, nothing impressive there by any means.

Re: Utes
Utes getting a win here is good for the Mountain West since they play Mountain West teams and some other opponents that we play.

Re: Utes
This UK team is not very good. They don’t have any shooters.
The refs didn’t bring them back into the game. Utah not attacking like they had in the first half did. As well the officials changed a blocking foul to a charge late in the game. Would have sent UK to the line with a chance to tie the game.

Re: Utes
I am sure there is some type of tie to Kentucky as well for the mountain west. For example a stronger Kentucky also could help boost the numbers of LSU and Florida.

Re: Utes
I watched the first 15 minutes of the game. The Utes looked really good! It seemed like they could not miss a shot, appeared to be faster, and more aggressive than Kentucky. I will admit, that is the only game I have seen either team play, so I don't know if Utah was playing above and beyond their normal ability, or if Kentucky was playing below theirs.

I feel the same way, but computer rankings matter for our ranking which what my comment was focus on.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑December 19th, 2019, 8:21 amNah, screw em. Nobody would cheer for byu and they play us directly and have more common opponents.

Re: Utes
Fair enough, I just think it is weird so many Aggie fans also semi-adopt Utah as their second team. I know you weren't doing that. A big example is when I was in school there were students that had anti-Max Hall shirts. I'm certainly no Max Hall fan, but that was a Utah-byu rivalry. Wearing red "Max Hall hates me" shirts shouldn't have been an Aggie thing.SLB wrote: ↑December 19th, 2019, 10:34 amI feel the same way, but computer rankings matter for our ranking which what my comment was focus on.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑December 19th, 2019, 8:21 amNah, screw em. Re: Utes
Utah has been treating us like trash, and many here don't realize that. Utah is very afraid in facing us when we are good, and very SEC football style of fearing to play PAC 12 teams in home and home games. Oklahoma did it once some years back and lost to Oregon in OregonAggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑December 19th, 2019, 10:58 amFair enough, I just think it is weird so many Aggie fans also semi-adopt Utah as their second team. BYU is that in-state rival sadly beat us for a number of games in a row in basketball despite us being the better team for 2 years in a row.
