Defense

Post by Mr. Sneelock » December 21st, 2019, 3:25 pm

The Aggies defense has been very good, and was crazy good against Florida. I don't know about advanced metrics, but Florida was stuck on 55 points from when there were just over 6 minutes remaining until there were about 25 seconds remaining. That is huge in the closing minutes.

The defense was outstanding for the bulk of the game.

I think our lack of athleticism hurts us the most offensively. Defense is about effort and homework.

You can see the lack of athleticism when we need to go one-on-one, with the exception of Sam.

You can see the lack of athleticism when we need to pass out of a trap.

It hurts with the refs too. Anticipation fouls hurt us at times this year.
