Re: Any word on Queta or Kuba?
We need Queta at 100% of the NBA prospect Queta rather than the Queta who has thus far played.

Re: Any word on Queta or Kuba?
When I hear “he’s a game-time decision” I believe it’s code for “he’s not playing but we want our opponent to keep guessing”. I hope I’m wrong. I’m weary of the game-to-game “will he or won’t he” pattern.

Re: Any word on Queta or Kuba?
I hope he can get back there this season. I am not certain he can, but I hope for his sake he can. At a minimum I hope he does not suffer any more setbacks so in the off season he can have a full off season to get ready for his junior year or may decide to go pro ( I would guess Europe at this point).

I seriously wonder if Queta is done at USU.
There is no reason for him to risk further injury with millions of dollars at stake.

At this point I don’t think he has increased his draft stock so maybe he sits most of the rest of the year and comes back to USU for his junior season.FloridaAggie13 wrote:I seriously wonder if Queta is done at USU.

I was looking around the other day and I did not see queta on any mock drafts. What he needs most is to get healthy and then show what he can do.2004AG wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:03 pmAt this rate he won’t even get drafted. Guess that’s the silver lining to this season. It will always feel “what-if” to me since his injury kinda ruined Merrill’s senior season. It could have been a special “all-time” season.aggies22 wrote:From what I understand Neemias is expected to return to Utah State for his junior season.2004AG wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:03 pmAt this rate he won’t even get drafted. You didn't hear the Jordan Love thing from me. I could have told you a month or more ago that Jordan was leaving and even earlier for Dave Woodward.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:18 pmI hope you're right, but I remember hearing that Jordan Love was coming back for his Senior year so I think it's really early for anything to be set in stone.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:14 pmFrom what I understand Neemias is expected to return to Utah State for his junior season.2004AG wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:03 pmAt this rate he won’t even get drafted. Re: Any word on Queta or Kuba?
Love is leaving because he’s still a 1st-2nd round pick. Queta won’t be drafted unless he came back next game and absolutely dominated the rest of the season.hipsterdoofus21 wrote:I hope you're right, but I remember hearing that Jordan Love was coming back for his Senior year so I think it's really early for anything to be set in stone.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:14 pmFrom what I understand Neemias is expected to return to Utah State for his junior season.2004AG wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:03 pmAt this rate he won’t even get drafted. Time has run out to show he’s worthy of a first round draft pick. He will need his JR season.

Re: Any word on Queta or Kuba?
He already staked his millions on an amateur youth team in Portugal this past summer. At this point, I'd rather see him recover and come back strong next season to help USU and rebuild his pro stock potential so he can make a good living for himself and his family, and also to further his education in the event that his injury is worse than it already seems.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 10:42 pmI seriously wonder if Queta is done at USU.

Love's projections are based on his physical attributes and certainly not on his performance on the field in 2019. I have to think Queta will get the same attention due to his physical makeup.2004AG wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 11:22 pmLove is leaving because he’s still a 1st-2nd round pick. Personally, I think he definitely needs at least another full year of college basketball. But, I wouldn't be surprised if a Euro team offered him some good money in a few months.

Is that the going rate to get a player to return these days. When I said "recruiting is getting nuts" I meant that literally, not the common idiom. I suppose I could have said "recruiting is about obtaining testicles", but it just doesn't flow as easily.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2020, 4:56 pmI know a little bit about who we could be targeting.
