Tallest lineup ever?

Post by Coloraggie » December 28th, 2019, 7:49 pm

Not sure how to look it up but at the end of the game we had 407 inches of total height on the floor with Kubo, Trevin, Roche, Fonz, and Bairstow. Just guessing that is tallest average height ever in USU history and quite high in the nation. It was fun to watch. Now we just need to sub out Fonz and Roche for Stall and Queta and that would add another 9 inches.

We are the 2nd tallest team in the country this year with an average height of 6'7". Only Washington at 6'8" is taller.

Back in the day (50's) any player over 6 7 was a giant. Our point guard, Max Perry, was around 5 8

And Wayne Estes was 6'5, which was about average for a Forward.

Back in 1940 when my grandfather was graduating high school, he was a center and had offers to play beyond high school as a center - he was 6'4".

Different game.
