I hate the 1280 Coverage

Tried to listen to the coaches show tonight and it seemed to be preempted by the Jazz pregame show. Crappy USU coverage. Going to have to talk to the AD again.

Came through just fine for me generally they don't start it until about 5 minutes past the hour

I’m listening to it right now on 1280. It will get preempted by the Jazz on 97.5, as it should.

I just go online and listen 1280. Very easy.

You can also use the 1280 app

Anybody who thinks the Aggie coaches show should preempt the Jazz is nuts. Just switch over to the AM dial.

I just hate not being able to hear the post game coach’s and player’s interviews.

I eventually got it. It was slow to start. I would at least appreciate some kind of announcement by the dj's that the am channel will switch to the coaches show in short order.

92.3 is great if you are inside the 1/2 mile radius of USU otherwise the signal is terrible. I've tried several apps for 1280 and they all spend so much time buffering that it is useless. I am hit and miss on listening to the Coaches Show on the Aggies All The Way podcast. We need a better radio signal for Cache Valley.

I don't get 92.3 very clearly in Smithfield, but it certainly comes in better than 1280 AM when the sun goes down and all AM stations have to switch to low power. I ended up using the RadioFX app on my phone - do a search for KBLU-LP (92.3) - it doesn't buffer and will give you the whole game and coach's show from beginning to end. Add it to your favorites and never search for another station again.

In 2018 reception was terrible for me until I was within a very small radius of campus. Would get nothing coming up through Sardine or even in Wellsville or even on south end of Logan. This year the reception has been significantly better and I have even picked it up while still in Sardine. Perhaps they were able to increase their power?

I’ve been using Tunein Radio app with zero buffering issues in Central Washington.

Yeah 1280 has been disappointing to say the least.

Living out of state I rely on the 1280 app so I don’t have reception issues like others have mentioned. The other day though the app cut off Aggie post game because Jazz game Was starting and the Jazz games are not streamed on the app. I am guessing when they shut down the stream for 97.5 they did so for 1280 as well in error).

If you use the TuneIn app there are 2 separate feeds for The Zone. Unfortunately they are listed the same but they are separate feeds so if you don't hear USU on one of them you can switch to the other and get the game still.

I always use the 1280 or tune in app with no issues. Also the 92.3 feed always works until i get to almost sherwood hills so that covers most of the post game anyways.

1390 is owned by KVNU, they have started a sports station and it’s great, I listen to it daily for the DP show and more. It plays the Jazz but can’t play the game. KVNU still does all their shows before and after games and I always switch to them cause even at my house in North Logan 92.3 struggles. I just want it back like it was.

I hope we never go back to the KVNU group they have much worse announcers, no coverage in the SLC area, and do not pay what the value of USU athletics is, Much better off without them..

I think we have forgotten how poor KVNU coverage really was you could not hear interviews, equipment break downs, very poor color support on broadcasts.

Keep in mind that KVNU could have carried the zone broadcasts but refused to do so,

In a perfect world the powers at KVNU would drop their pride and agree to rebroadcast 1280's production of the game.

I like the 1280 coverage. It comes through great on the tunein app. I think Scotty does a great job too.
