I think it probably is. The only other I can think of is the Utes in the late ‘90s, but I doubt they were ranked that high early in the year.

lets be real here, if a team is capable of beating the #1 team in the country on a 22 game undefeated winning streak @ their home floor, rest assure they are definitely good e nough to get an at large bid. Not all Q1 wins are made equal. Add that and two road wins against Florida and LSU.

Hmmmm....thought perhaps St. Mary's was ranked when we beat them during the "Jardine" dunk game in 2011 Bracketbusters but they were like 25-6 and happened to not be ranked the week we played them.

St Mary's had just fallen out of the rankings three weeks previous, when they'd been ranked 22. We were 25 and they were 27 the week that we played them. And despite our win against them, we fell out of the rankings the next week.
