UNLV game - something I forgot to ask about
why were the students dressed up in Spectrum seat colors? Was that a "thing" that I missed? Please enlighten me.
Thanks

It was Spectrum Magic night. It's something we've done for 3 or 4 years now.

Well that explains it! Thanks, I guess moving away from Utah and not attending a home BB game in over 6 years will do that for you.

Never understood the weird spectrum seat colors. Random navy and white would make the place look fuller when it isn’t.

The story that's been handed down was that navy and white would be too cold and forbidding. The autumn colors would be warm and inviting. Thus my folks when I was a teenager.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 11:21 pmThe warm colors of the autumn leaves in the nearby canyons of cache valley.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I like the seat colors. I know many don't. I also wish I could nab a couple of those shirts

I'm a traditionalist. Keep the seats.

Love the seats, but hate the legroom. Wasn’t a problem as a student but now that I’m relegated to sitting with the bluehairs standing up to watch is considered on par with taking a dump on the stairs.

I love the colors, when i lived in CV and the winters were dark, gloomy, and foggy, you could always count on the Spectrum to pick up your spirits. With me it made a huge difference in my well being. I am light deprived in the winter, and it was the Spectrum that was my best prescription. My daughter in Aberdeen, WA. Has to spend an hour under a special light each day or depression sets in bad. Where she lives is the rainiest city in Washington, Aberdeen, Hoquiam area averages 92 inches a year. Olympia just 49 miles away averages 42 inches. My daughter needs the Spectrum up there. Don’t ever change the seats unless a new arena is built!

I heard it was because byu wanted to steal our colors and we thought this would be a safe option.
