Wow, thank you. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get choked up. I just love the fact he grew up an Aggie and has dreamed about moments like that his whole life. I just picture a kid in his driveway counting down as he shoots, then going crazy as he makes them. Then making it happen as an Aggie is unreal. Dreams do come true.

Excellent. One thing I think would be a great add... Sam walking back towards the chairs after the end of game, stopping, kneeling, and slapping the court.

I agree. That was an awesome moment. He doesn’t show a ton of emotion but that showed how much this all means to him.

So I attended Utah State during the JC days. Let me say this first, JC is amazing and has a fantastic career, NBA be damned. I think overseas was the best thing for him, he has become a millionaire and having served his mission in Chile, he was accustomed to the language. Ultimately Spain was a great natural fit.

Having said that the one thing that he was not great at was creating his own shot. He was a great shooter coming off screens, running to the open spot and knocking it down was no problem. Sam cemented that he can do that as well, but he can create his own shot and proved to be the greatest to ever wear the Aggie blue. I fully believe Sam will have a better shot at getting on a NBA roster and sticking in the league.

NBA basketball has changed a lot since Jaycee was in college. I believe he may have more of a shot at the current NBA than the NBA he was trying to enter many years ago. That is also why I think Merrill has a small chance of sticking in the current NBA.
