I haven’t read anywhere saying it was permanently suspended but only suspended until further notice. Has anyone else heard more than that? I imagine they will quarantine guys for the time needed and if no one has come down with it in the league at that time they try playing again. This is all about slowing the growth down to minimize the strain on the medical world.

I just posted the same thing in another thread but here’s how I see it.

The NBA was all set on playing without crowds a few hours earlier but once a player got it the whole dynamic changed. So far the reason NBA is suspended is because they have to quarantine all Rudy’s teammates and all the teams they have recently played. So the season couldn’t keep going with those teams just not playing. So unless college players start getting the virus they will probably play TV games. They want to play them I’m sure, but you can’t have guys playing against each other getting other guys sick.
I'm guessing it's pretty likely that there are already college players that have it and just don't know. Gobert is the first positive test in the NBA as well but I doubt he'll be the last.

Nebraska basketball team quarantined in locker room following game with Indiana tonight. Head coach was sick throughout the game, left the court in final media timeout and was taken to a local hospital.

Fred Hoiberg was released from the hospital and the team was released too. That being said I think we're in for it with the tournament being canceled.

Well, that’s good news. But I agree, odds are still very high the whole thing gets cancelled.

Well, it’s not often that you end your year with a win.
Who is going to get awarded the national champions?
They have to award it to Kansas who is ranked #1.

Everybody knows it should go to SDSU. They were ranked #1 in the NET rankings more times this year than anybody in history.

Both Rudy and Donovan, active carriers of Covid 19, were feeling well enough to play in a game last night. Donovan didn't even know he was sick. And yet people on ESPN are acting like these athletes are going to die.

It's another Me Too movement.

But if ESPN says so, then RIP. Have they crowned Duke national champs yet?

We bitter baseball fans that don't live in new York or Boston refer to ESPN as the Everything Sox and Pinstripes Network.
