Since it has been slow on here

Post by GUS » June 5th, 2020, 11:48 am

This may have been discussed before, but this would be kind of cool against a team that USU is a huge favorite to beat. Taylor U students stay quiet until after the 10th point is scored then they go crazy. They also are all costumed up.
Here it is:

The Silent Night game looks like a pretty fun tradition, but it brings back nightmares of the protest game against Denver after the apology letter where the student body was silent for the first several minutes. I forget how long. The team came out flat and we lost the game. Some of the players were quoted as saying that it definitely affected them in a bad way. We all know the story of the next several years of Aggie basketball after that point.

It's possible this would be a fun tradition... just brings back really bad memories for me.

I kind of do too. In fact, when I first changed to this avatar, @ProvoAggie actually threatened to ban me. I'm surprised he hasn't already to be honest.

I support banning Treesap until he changes his avatar back. Your avatar became you. When you posted, in my head it was Silas posting.

Frankly, I like the new. Silas was one of my all-time fav Aggies, but never did like it for an avatar. Just another opinion! 😁

I tried to name my third son Silas. I was close to putting it on the birth certificate while my wife was recovering from the delivery. I did not do it. But to this day, I call him Silas and not the name on his birth certificate. Many of his friends and teachers do too.

Thank God! I was pretty depressed not seeing that avatar around.

Please don't do that again.
