Can someone explain to me how Kyle Goon went from being the most half-assed beat reporter we’ve ever had to having an MVP vote for the NBA Finals?!?

Listen, I know some people don’t appreciate the goon jokes, but I think they’re one of the finest traditions of this board. So I’ll get this party started, “Goon just reported that former 4-star recruit from Oklahoma State, Jarred Shaw is transferring to Utah State.”

Haha so true. But good for him. Maybe he thought it was for the regular season awards.

Are we sure Goon isn't reporting about when Lebron won the championship in Cleveland in 2016?

I guess they wanted a SoCal representative. Definitely there are more knowledgeable people that should have got that vote. Although it was a unanimous selection that wasn't that controversial. Hopefully he actually does his homework if he is voting on the regular season award.

maybe it was unanimous because Goon's vote is forthcoming this Friday, and they just assumed that he'd vote for LJ?

But seriously, Tony was awesome, and aggies22 provides better USU sports news than Goon ever did.

Yeah you aren't going to get much better than Tony Jones. He was a good guy who I ran into once and was real friendly and was real knowledgeable about Aggie sports.

Update: Kyle Goon is reporting that Lebron James will forgo college to enter the NBA Draft.
