SJSU Women Cancel Season

Just saw that the Mountain West just had their first team cancel the remainder of their season.

How does this affect Title IX? Or, as long as the scholarships are honored, does that not affect the required balance between sports?

Would not be surprised to see unm and sjsu means teams do the same. But considering their net rank it might be a good thing.

Seeing San Jose State win again tonight, I'm glad their season didn't get cancelled. As an athlete, you always believe you can win your next game even if you are on a bad team. Happy for those players that they at least have had all their hardwork through the craziest of seasons pay off with some Ws.

It shouldn't affect title IX because the athletes still get to fulfill their scholarship by going to class for free.
