Go after the Zags and St. Mary's and maybe Creighton, then make a play for Wichita? Why not.
Those are the only four schools I can see worth adding anyway.

I would love that, of course. Not sure how realistic it is to think it will end up happening someday tho..

I doubt Gonzaga and St. Mary's would go. Why should they? It doesn't improve their chances of getting into the tournament, and they'd have to split some of their tournament revenue with more schools. Plus they'd have to play SDSU, Nevada, USU, instead of beating up on USD, Portland, and Pepperdine. And if they don't join, why would Creighton or Wichita. We're way out of their footprint. I just don't see it happening.

Gonzaga is in a pretty good spot. They pretty much run that conference. If they say "jump", the WCC asks "how high?"
Top to bottom the MWC might be stronger than the WCC, but the WCC is pretty good at the top. Also, I don't think they need a stronger conference. They can get ranked #1 and get a 1 seed where they are.

We have been there and done that. The Zags said no, and the MWC said no to Wichita.

Yup. This is not a new thought and not only do we know it has been worked in the past, it is safe to assume that every conference is continually working these kind of shifts. Takes two to dance.

I'd love to see the mwc take another try at a revitalized Wichita State.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I say no on st Mary’s
Why not go after Gonzaga, byu, Wichita, and tulsa? This would be an incredible basketball league passing up the pac12 and would be best western basketball conference. It could also put mwc as 6th best football conference, while also hurting wcc and aac?

Why no on St Mary's? I like it, but I'd remove Hawaii and replace with St. Mary's.Agzrule wrote: ↑January 17th, 2021, 5:18 pmI say no on st Mary’s
