It's amazing that we climbed after a series of games against really poorly rated opponents. Each of the 12 games we have remaining should be against a more highly ranked opponent than either UNM or SJSU for sure.

Nice to see USU getting some attention. Crazy to think we are in conversation for an at large after watching our performance in the first tournament. Proud of the guys for coming together and going unbeaten so far in conference play.

CBS crew said Saturday there is an extra slot this year because the Ivy League isn’t sending conference championship. They also said they think three teams will get in from MWC this year.

Well, we went from being ranked lower than them to a temporary blip above them, then back below them.

Just keep winning and we will rise. It is interesting we beat them twice go ahead of them and now back below them. That is ok we want them to stay high so it helps our rankings. We have a shot at two quad 2 victories this week. If the aggies can pull those out I would guess they can rise to upper 30's.

That did drop UNI from a Q3 win to a Q4 win. Could have been enough to do it.

That did drop UNI from a Q3 win to a Q4 win. Could have been enough to do it.

those games were ugly - 1st was close until 10:00 in the game (57-72) - and 2nd was only close until 6:30 in first half (46-88)

Hasn’t like half the UNI team had season-ending injuries? Talk about snakebitten. They looked to be a decent team when we played them, having just barely been beaten by Memphis and SMC.

I only know of 1 player who's out for the season due to injury - AJ Green (2019 MV POY last year)

Trae Berhow tested positive the weekend before the tournament and didn't travel to Sioux Falls, but he's playing again.

Antwon Kimmons has left the team (as of mid December) to go home due to family COVID issues he played 15 minutes, went 0-6 and had 4 assists against US in the tourney. I'm not sure if he's coming back or not.

Welp, AJ Green was pretty good but sad that they are not having the season they were hoping for.

We've either improved a ton from those early games, or the MW is getting more respect than it deserves. I think it's a bit of both. I'm skeptical that there is any team in the conference capable of winning a tourney game, but there is talk in some circles of us getting 3 teams in. I think we're more of a two bid league, but if we are going to benefit from the hype, I'm okay with it.

Boy, it would have been nice if we could have taken that game in the Spectrum BYU kept trying to give us.

The Haslametrics currently have us at 23 (http://haslametrics.com/ratings.php). This ranking is weighted for more recent games. We are their number 2 team in terms of momentum (just passed by Alabama after they torched LSU last night).
