Re: A super upset in the NET rankings
Good win for Washington, but crazy how far they have fallen since we played them just two years ago. They were last place in the pac last year despite having two first round picks and this year are awful.
Enjoy the wins, you never know when it can turn south.

Re: A super upset in the NET rankings
Why it's nice to be in a P5 conference - Colorado can lose to an awful team like Washington and it barely hurts their resume "oh, they just had an off night, it happens." If we lose to UNLV or Fresno or some other average/bad MWC team, then it's a bubble bursting loss that shows we aren't a quality team. We have no a much smaller margin for error - same as it ever was.

Re: A super upset in the NET rankings
Pretty much, although it isn't as bad as it used to be. We go 25-3 and miss the tourney in 2004 and go 30-3 and get a 12 seed in 2011. We are past those days at least.Aggie702 wrote: ↑January 21st, 2021, 10:53 amWhy it's nice to be in a P5 conference - Colorado can lose to an awful team like Washington and it barely hurts their resume "oh, they just had an off night, it happens." Re: A super upset in the NET rankings
Kinda, last year we had that bad losing streak and none of us thought we would make it to the big dance. But come march many brackets thought we could have made it in even without winning the MWC tourney. So I think it's getting better.Aggie702 wrote: ↑January 21st, 2021, 10:53 amWhy it's nice to be in a P5 conference - Colorado can lose to an awful team like Washington and it barely hurts their resume "oh, they just had an off night, it happens." Re: A super upset in the NET rankings
The MWC is much better than the WAC or Big West. We at least have realistic paths to at-large bids now, and if we have a really good season, we have can get high seeds. In the WAC or Big West, you could practically go undefeated and get a 12 seed.
