Utah State is scared! Says the team that begged university and health officials for weeks to allow fans against us, tried to move one of the games so fans could attend, and ultimately just went against county officials anyway.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 1:06 pmAggie in Boise wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:45 pmPlease post it.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:40 pmI just saw a tweet that Boise is going to allow 900 fans for the games this week.
We've exceeded expectations this year given the backcourt losses we experienced. Leon has his most talented roster ever, according to him. We've been there, done that 2x and 1x as regular season champs the past 2 years. If Boise ultimately finishes 4th or 5th in the conference it will be a huge disappointment. Boise is scared.

Did anyone ever go to a road game in the Big West era? This is close to the size of many of the big west road games in the early 00's.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 1:06 pmAggie in Boise wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:45 pmPlease post it.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:40 pmI just saw a tweet that Boise is going to allow 900 fans for the games this week.
Crowd isn't that loud or intimidating, but you do hear vocal hecklers a lot easier.

Even when Extra Mile Arena is filled to capacity it's not that intimidating. The fans drink lots of weak sauce before their basketball games. The student section is comparable to a fairly loud public library.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 1:16 pmDid anyone ever go to a road game in the Big West era? Oh no doubt. Boise State's crowds are some of the weakest whenever I've been to the conference tournaments. It is night and day compared to what USU brings to the table.Aggie in Boise wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 1:41 pmEven when Extra Mile Arena is filled to capacity it's not that intimidating. Haha this is great.
Boise doesn’t have fans at games all year due to covid.
First really good team comes to town we want fans. Let’s play in another town because we want fans.
Ok usu won’t play us in nampa let’s change our rules and allow fans! Heck ya.
Meanwhile Boise fans are pissed and blame usu for them not having fans. If it was such a big deal why didn’t they just play in nampa all along. Blame your county/city.

It this was such a big deal they should have done this for every single home opponent they have played.

Re: Mrs Duryea
I'd love to but they won't let us in as part of the 900 fans. My teenage son took his shirt off and was covered in Aggie paint and tattoos. They made him put his shirt back on to enter the stadium. When we went to our seats he took it off again and security threatened to kick him out if he didn't put it back on. We attempted to take a poster into the stadium with a picture of Bean and Brito. The poster said "It's Bean Brito Day at Taco Bell Arena." They wouldn't allow us to take it in the Stadium. They said that they only allow spectators to have signage if it's 8.5" X 11 inches or smaller. BSU doesn't allow fans to have fun especially when the fans are from an opposing school. BYU is way less strict than BSU.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 1:58 pmYou need to be 1 of the 900 in full decked out Aggie gear and as loud as ever! If a sign is big enough to require two hands, how will anyone have a hand free to buy/hold a beer. Maybe they are trying to boost concession sales.Aggie in Boise wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 2:19 pmI'd love to but they won't let us in as part of the 900 fans. Re: Mrs Duryea
So Boise State decided to throw a massive fit about how mean USU is for not accommodating their absurd last-minute request to move one of the games to Nampa, when in reality they could have fans at home all along, just not *as many*.
I'm so sick of the Boise entitlement. It stems from football and at least they have a reason for being entitled in that sport. I have no earthly idea why they think other teams should be bending over backwards to make them happy in basketball.

The problem I had with Duryea hire is we looked all over the country for a head coach and then hired the guy sitting right there on the bench.
It is hard for anyone to believe he was the guy we wanted all along?

They just got approval for the fans today. They asked UNLV and USU at the same time if the games could be moved. Unlv also said no and they weren't able to have any fans for those games.stang wrote:So Boise State decided to throw a massive fit about how mean USU is for not accommodating their absurd last-minute request to move one of the games to Nampa, when in reality they could have fans at home all along, just not *as many*.

Fair. In any case, why is it that USU is the big mean bully in all of this, when UNLV did (and any team in the country would do) the exact same thing?

That’s exactly what they believe. You could hear it in Tim’s last coach’s show after he was let go. No way in hell would Brito, Taylor, Dorius, Bean, Porter, and Miller have developed the same way under Tim. This was obvious in the lack of development of any player in his 3 years save maybe Sam.

Which is shocking, considering the favor the MW bestows upon BS university.

They didn’t actually get approval. Boise deliberately went against their county’s guidelines. I guess they know the guidelines couldn’t be enforced. Apparently the local high school has also been playing with fans recently and going against the county’s request as well.ProvoAggie wrote:They just got approval for the fans today.
