He is. https://behindthebuckpass.com/2021/02/1 ... ssignment/
His last game was a little rough. Maybe he's getting a bit less PT this game as a result? I think one of their other guards had an excellent game.

Re: Sam Merrill
I’m wondering the same thing. He’s not even on the active roster for today. My guess would be a Rona thing.

Re: Sam Merrill
His g league results were mixed. Just as a fan I'd rather watch him play more in the G league than sit on the bench for the Bucks, but glad they are bringing him back. They have a 5 game losing streak, so maybe Budenholzer will be willing to mix up his rotation.

Yeah if he is going to sit on the bench this is dumb but maybe he’ll get some meaningful minutes.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:His g league results were mixed. Re: Sam Merrill
I would say that his G league performance helped him by showing what he can do on defense more than offense. Here is a pretty good write-up saying as much:

Re: Sam Merrill
The Hustle weren't interested in developing Sam for the Bucs. They put the ball in the hands of a no-future David Stocton more than Sam. They put Sam in the corner and rarely passed to him. The times he got a chance to use a possession were in bad situations.
I think he's probably better off with the Bucs. Hopefully they'll work him into the rotation a bit - and not just garbage time.

Re: Sam Merrill
Hoping Sam gets to play tonight. Holiday and Nwora are both out and Adams is Day to day. Forbes started last game but it looks like Augustine started tonight. Hopefully Sam can take advantage of an opportunity here.

Yeah it was a weird situation being a rental for another team's developmental team.brownjeans wrote: ↑February 19th, 2021, 3:30 pmThe Hustle weren't interested in developing Sam for the Bucs.
