That day, we were really clicking, scoring above 100. About as different as the end of Friday's game as we can get.

Well the crowds will look very similar, just for very different reasons. Come on Aggies, get this W.

That was a fun tournament run after a disappointing season. Too bad we couldn't beat Mercer and close the deal.

During that season, most of us attributed it to being "The 500 season that Stew had been telling us for years we would eventually have one year"Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:19 amThat was a fun tournament run after a disappointing season. We lost a ton from the 2011 team plus losing Jardine early was a killer.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:27 amDuring that season, most of us attributed it to being "The 500 season that Stew had been telling us for years we would eventually have one year"Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:19 amThat was a fun tournament run after a disappointing season. Re: The last time we had a home game on a Sunday
I think alot of us expected that based on who we were losing from 2010-11 team that we would take a nosedive and be not nearly as good in 2011-12. That was one reason the NCAA loss to Kansas State in 2011 was so heartbreaking, cause we knew it would be awhile before we had another opportunity.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:43 amWe lost a ton from the 2011 team plus losing Jardine early was a killer.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:27 amDuring that season, most of us attributed it to being "The 500 season that Stew had been telling us for years we would eventually have one year"Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 9:19 amThat was a fun tournament run after a disappointing season. The 2011-12 season, where we lost more home games that we were used to losing, like more that season than a number of prior years combined, was when I started to understand why NFL fans can be so depressed about their team losing the Super Bowl when it's still pretty good to get that far, but then can handle 6-10 seasons just fine. As much as I didn't like losing another home game and another home game in the 11-12 season, as well as the down years after that, losing another game, even another home game when we know we're not good, just didn't have the same heartache that losing a first round game when we're good has.
I think there's just something about being a sports fan that you accept your team isn't going to be good every year, but you want them to be great during their up years.

There are currently 4 blocks of 4 seats left for sale in the $35 price level. Attendance should be pretty much the same today as the last game.

Re: The last time we had a home game on a Sunday
In any other year, playing on Sundays is probably not in Utah State's best interest because sales for attendance won't be as good because of the LDS locality in Logan and nearby areas choosing not to attend. But this year because we are only able to max out at 1600 we shouldn't have a problem reaching that. In normal years though I can understand the reluctancy of wanting home Sunday games. Away games on Sunday are fine.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 11:18 amThere are currently 4 blocks of 4 seats left for sale in the $35 price level. I realize it’s different but the nba has done a good job of minimizing Sunday home games for the jazz over the years during the regular season. No reason the mw couldn’t do this as well. In regular years it would really hurt attendance like you say.Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 1:31 pmIn any other year, playing on Sundays is probably not in Utah State's best interest because sales for attendance won't be as good because of the LDS locality in Logan and nearby areas choosing not to attend. Yeah the Jazz rarely play Sunday home games. They had an owner until 2009 that wouldn't even watch Sunday games on tv. Other than a few major nationally televised games or playoff games the Jazz haven't played home games on Sunday.slcagg wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 1:40 pmI realize it’s different but the nba has done a good job of minimizing Sunday home games for the jazz over the years during the regular season. And the MW has been good about Sunday games. This is our first home Sunday game in the league and almost certainly wouldn't happen any other year. The Utes are not so lucky. The Pac makes them play a few Sunday home games each year.

Re: The last time we had a home game on a Sunday
The Utes can’t get anyone to attend their home games Monday through Saturday, so Sunday games don’t hurt them.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 28th, 2021, 1:45 pmYeah the Jazz rarely play Sunday home games. Yep the Utes suck. Whenever I'm having a bad day or going through a troubled time in life, the fact that the Utes are hot garbage will bring a smile to my face.

There are more empty seats today then I thought there would be. Definitely not as many people here as Friday.
