Have a guard in Mac that likes to shoot. Ashworth is the type of guy that can drive him nuts.

Do you think our Alumnus Matt Wells will wear his Aggie gear in front of cameras? Different sport after all.😉

They have to forwards who play the 5 that are 6’7” and don’t shoot a whole lot. Guards are mostly 6’6” with McClung at 6’2” I believe. They will shoot shoot shoot. I think Queta will bother them. Q yet a need to play strong and over the top of them.

Have to force McClung to drive and allow Queta to send it back

Probably the e strongest 6 seed. I paid attention to Texas Tech all season and they could easily be a 2-3 seed if a couple of breaks went the other way

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Queta considering TTU before coming to USU?

They are gonna hound Queta all game. They don’t have someone that can match up with him size wise. May try and double him. The games gonna depend on if our guards can hit shots and our defense can keep us in it.

Yeah. He needs to do that real quick hook shot before the defense can double on him. He also needs to generally go up over the top of these guys rather than try to go around them. They are going to be fast and athletic. We need Anthony to really work hard on McClung or the other guards and keep them off their game.

TT shoots the 3-ball at a 39% clip. We need to sharpen up our beyond-the-arc defense and while we are at it begin shooting no less than 35% ourselves.

I like our defense against them and we should own them on the boards. They literally don't have a rotation player that is above 6 7. Their leading rebounder Marcus Santos-Silva gets 6.1 boards a game. Queta should feast and have his way along with Bean. They are 185th in the nation in rebounding. We are 7th.

It just boils down to can we make some outside shots? Will Brock Miller, Anderson or Anthony find some rhythm? If they do, we win.

I believe all their losses came to teams who received a 1-4 seed.

They were an average Big 12 team, but the Big 12 got a ton of love with 7/10 in the field and the top five getting top 4 seeds.

They are good. You never are going to get an easy out in the tournament, but I like our chances against them more than many other teams. Queta should have a field day against them. They regularly get outrebounded and that will continue against us.

With the kind of attitude problem McClung had in high school I wonder if we could get a frustration T out of him.

I would not be surprised to see a lot of zone to prevent queta from getting going. Force our shooters to make shots. Be a tough game but as always i am just excited when the aggies make it. Go put caution to wind with nothing to lose. No need to play tense.

ESPN says the shot 34.6 % from 3. Very similar to us in that regard.

They’ve taken 100 more FTs than us. They appear to like to drive to the basket and create contact. Gotta keep Nemi out of foul trouble.

Coach Smith’s friend, Evan Washburn, will be the sideline reporter. Too bad he probably won’t be able to mess up his hair with social distancing...

Ken_Pom agrees with the 34.6%. He also shows them at #301 in % of 3Pt shots attempted/total.

They don't shoot terribly (#124 rating) but they shoot much fewer than the average.

I would LOVE that.
Can you imagine the offensive rebounds?
Or how many Bean layups we’d see cutting off the ball!

Just saw that they lead the country in fewest ppg allowed in the paint. It could do with the style of offenses they defend or they’re just good at packing the paint with bodies. Either way that statistic doesn’t bode well for us
