Among those just recently entering are Millings and Meeks from Nevada. And Grill from UNLV. Grill can shoot but I'm not sure he would be following Otz to Iowa St.
Remember grill was at Iowa state before unlv. Which apparently he had connections to otz and was the reason he transferred to Vegas. Quite
The love triangle there.

I think most Nevada fans would trade the guys they have transferring in vs transferring out. Nevada and csu are going to be very good next year.

It is hard to say what the roster will look like at the moment. Meeks was a 9 and 6 guy off the bench. Millings was getting 23 minutes a night..These are significant changes. While there is reason for optimism with the new guys so far, you don't really know how the pieces will fit until next fall.

We are supposed to find out today whether we get a transfer Alford has targeted.

Wow, I'm a little surprised at Millings. He was really coming on for them toward the end of the season. He can shoot it...I wonder if he felt like he was going to be recruited over.

I don't know if this will get lost in this thread but I have confirmed that Fonzo will be moving on and that Trevin Dorius HAS been awarded a scholarship.

I know this has been brought up before but I can't remember the definitive answer. Is there a rule barring inter-conference transfers?

Some conferences have them and others do not.

I think we had this conversation we had last year around aj walker. And I believe the mw we could have a transfer in conference.

Fonzo grad transferring or just done with college basketball?

Trevin probably deserved that scholarship, but I hope that doesn’t mean we aren’t trying to recruit another big.

You would think that if he wanted to continue playing that his name would be in the portal. But he does have that option.

You willed it into existence!

Sad he’d rather play somewhere else, but I wish him the best of luck unless he goes somewhere I hate. I imagine he’ll have a P5 opportunity as reigning MW sixth man of the year.

I wish him the best but I hope he doesn't set his sights too high of getting major playing time at a P5.

I would think this confirms Neemi is gone the right? I don’t think Dorius wants another year playing <5 min a night.

Honestly can’t blame Anderson. He is a 4 and he isn’t going to play ahead of bean. Best of luck to him. Been a heck of a player for us.

I’m glad we got at least 2 years of him. He could’ve easily bolted last year with Queta and Bean coming back.

Agreed. And he seems to have had a great attitude and just a great dude. At least from an outsiders view.

I wasn't sure which thread was best but here goes. Is it just getting old school to recruit high school kids unless you are sure they will have immediate impact? This whole free agency of the portal system just seems to set you up for failure if you recruit a kid, try to develop, and if he doesn't think he's getting the playing time he should he's off to greener pastures. Guys like Sam that are true to their school just aren't that prevalent anymore. Continuity of a program is getting harder and harder to maintain.

Fonz could start here if Queta doesn't come back. I wouldn't be shocked to see him go to Washington, who he grew up rooting for. They could use him.

Exactly! And I know you or anyone else on here isn't demeaning Fonz in any way. He's been a great Aggie, seems like a good dude and teammate. He's never been afraid of the moment and has hit some big shots in crucial games. He could take the lower route but I've heard he is a excellent student, and maybe he has an idea of doing like Abel. Get his grad degree from prestigious university to go along with his degree from USU. Accept your role, further your education, play in the big houses, have a better than average chance at the Dance again, all while having it paid for. Nothing wrong with that.

I heard he plans to play at a smaller school close to home. Seattle U would be my guess.

BTW, it's crazy to think but the best returning player we have is a product of the Duryea era.
