Curious why you are so low on Eytle-Rock?
I like Eytle-Rock a lot, and he's improved a ton in 3 seasons, but I worry a bit about his game translating to the high mid major level. He's not very quick for a guard, and he scored a lot of his points using his big frame and size to bully smaller defenders. His jump shot is a bit slow and clunky, making it hard to get clean looks consistently from the perimeter, though he's been working to improve it over time.

I guess I don't doubt he could play a role on USU, but I think his style of play and best skills are best utilized in a league where he can consistently bully his opponents with his stature and not have to defend guards with that quick first step and can beat him off the dribble. Horvath, Akin and Kennedy are all tremendous athletes for their size and positions, and I don't think they would have to adjust their game nearly as much as Eytle-Rock. I would never bet against RJ, though, because he is seemingly always getting better.

I hope so! I would love to see any/all of these guys re-united with Odom (and assuming at least Dixon) in Logan. Looking forward to having a new 'late-night' team to have a vested interest in once the East Coast games are finished!

I mentioned this earlier that posters on the UMBC board said their AD hired search firm and that hiring in house was very unlikely. Maybe our resident UMBC poster can confirm. But if true, the assistants that may be coming with Odom have been working unofficially on recruiting for Odom. I just can't imagine that Odom has been sitting here thinking he can go solo and wait for things to shake out.

We will be fine, things take a little time. Odom will hire a strong staff and get some good transfers or players coming in.

I’m not understanding at all why it has taken so long for the staff to take shape. We are in prime recruiting territory right now and kinda blowing it.

One other name that might be worth keeping an eye on is Nevada transfer Zane Meeks - UMBC had offered him in 2018 and there was a lot of Buzz he was heading to play for Odom before Musselman called. Perhaps now is the perfect time for them to join forces..

You keep referring to "your Aggie brothers" all the time - I work back and forth between the North End Zone facility and The Wayne Estes Center and happen to know that many of my coworkers follow this forum and are Aggie sisters. Overheard them today referring to you and how you think only "Aggie Brothers" are on this forum.

Meeks is a good player and would be a good get..He does have some troublesome knees..One note..He was not recruited by Muss..He was an Alford recruit.
