NIL

Post by Aggiealum13 » April 12th, 2021, 11:05 am

Do you guys think when NIL does pass that we will have a problem in this area? I mean I know Logan's not that big of a town, but I would imagine there'll be some businesses that would take on Aggie athletes if it's the right kind of athlete. I know some programs are saying they're NIL-ready. Just curious if Utah state is.

Looking around the conference it doesn’t look great without a way to level the playing field.
Air Force - I’m not sure how it played out for cadets.
Boise - Larger city.
CSU - Larger city.
Fresno State - Larger city
Hawaii - Entire state
Nevada - Larger city
New Mexico - Larger city.
SDSU - Larger city
San Jose State - Larger city
UNLV - Larger city
Wyoming- Smaller city, but they have much of the state.

I know there are some apathetic fan bases in larger cities, and enthusiastic support in others. Generally, it would be a tough spot.

Northern Illinois?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Fair question Slim 80. N I L meaning according to google, translates as NOTHING....ZERO.....NUL...0 From the earlier question, if nothing happens in Logan what then changes, and pardon me if I have read this wrong.

The population projections for Cache Valley in the next 30 years boost the residential numbers to around 200,000 people. Also consider neighboring Box Elder County and some areas of S E Idaho for football game draws, and don't discount the Wasatch Front where many AGGIES, including me, now reside.

The MWC scheduling committee would need to consider the logistics for traveling to and from Logan for late night or Thursday games and adjust accordingly,,,,, If the league cared.

They still will get the Pac-12 media deal, so they can wipe away the tears of with all the Pac-12 money. Lowest attendance, and the PAC-12 team that will be hurt the most by NIL.

I know that Pullman is off the beaten path also, but it is impressive to see how people travel back every home game weekend from the West Side.

When I saw NIL, I thought it meant that we haven’t signed any players or announced any coaches.

When you throw in an acronym like that,it would be helpful if you said what it means.
