This title scares me because we are back to whether "fine" is good, ok, or oh-oh. Being married for many years I've conditioned myself that it is just another four-letter word that starts with F.

Or what you tell your kid after they fall off the counter, head first landing on a hard tile floor, with blood gushing all over,..."You're fine. That didn't hurt."

Devin has committed to Texas. Perhaps they aren't as close as he thought?

I know I'm the only person on this hill, but there are other places to find talent outside of the transfer portal. Not saying we should ignore it but you can still find great high school talent, international guys, JC guys. Not to mention coach up the young guys currently on the roster.
I don't know this for a fact but I'm hopeful the new coaching staff doesn't have such a narrow approach to program building that everyone here wants them to have.

Do we have a coaching staff? Or is it just a coach?OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑April 13th, 2021, 1:13 pmI know I'm the only person on this hill, but there are other places to find talent outside of the transfer portal. Re: We are going to be fine
I was planning on a rebuild year this year with Smith. Losing Queta was losing the majority of our offense and defense. We had a couple of role players that are better when there’s an NBA player in the middle and a couple of young kids with potential. So I was planning on being mid of the MWC at best. I actually believe Odom puts us in a much better position over the next three years, I think he is more capable of building a program that’s sustainable and in the mean time a better X and O’s coach to get the best out of what we have.
Smith was a great motivator, but he left us with not a lot of talent and really struggled to make adjustments against teams who were coached by students of the game IMO. I don’t want to see us go through a dip, but I feel like that dip got more shallow and shorter thanks to this hire.

If Odom doesn't have an allergic reaction to calling timeouts, we should be well on our way to improved in-game coaching.Chupamedia wrote: ↑April 13th, 2021, 2:07 pmI was planning on a rebuild year this year with Smith. Re: We are going to be fine
Queta covered for a lot of defensive deficiencies in other players. We won't have that help next year. We need to recruit both sides of the ball. Next year could be a very, very long year for Aggie fans. We don't have a reliable scorer and we lost our best defender. The guys we have struggled to keep the guy they were guarding in front of them. We really, really need some help with this roster - on both sides of the ball.
