In an unprecedented decision to double his pay Coach Ryan Odom has decided to hire himself to fill the roles of his 3 assistants.

I'm confident that Odom is bringing his top two assistants, Bryce Crawford & Nate Dixon. Who his 3rd assistant will be is the big mystery. Does he bring in his own guy from previously? Does he get someone familiar with recruiting Utah & and the west?

Whomever Odom has hired, (I'm not sure why things are so hush, hush, especially since his old staff did not get the UMBC job), they better be able to recruit their (I can't express myself without swearing)'s off. So far, it has been disappointing. I hope they can turn it around.

Honestly, I feel like a lot of coaches don't fully grasp this (or are too arrogant to grasp it). They'll grab assistants they know & are comfortable with or that they know are good coaches. But truly, in that 3rd guy you just want someone who can "recruit their (I can't express myself without swearing)'s off". I really hope that happens here.

I thought the rumor was that there will be an Aggie on the staff. I am assuming that is the 3rd guy unless that has fallen through.

Although, I suppose an Aggie could fill one of the other roles and not be one of the assistants and technically we would have an Aggie "on staff".
