Scoring stats with the UMBC transfers + current roster vs last season

Post by SLB » April 19th, 2021, 1:29 pm

Last season points per game and FG% and FT% with last season's roster
Queta 14.9 55.9% 70.7%
Bean 11.4 51.8% 82.9%
Anthony 10 41.5% 61.5%
Worster 9.1 40.6% 80.4%
Miller 8.8 38.4% 71.4%
Anderson 6.8 40.3% 72.7%
Ashworth 6.1 35.7% 89.8%
Bairstow 3.7 47.4% 68.8%
Dorius 2.0 53.7% 41.2%
Shulga 1.6 34.2% 83.3%
Last season points per game and FG% and FT% with the current roster that played significant games
Eytle-Rock 14.3 47.2% 79.2%
Horvath 13.1 47.5% 70%
Bean 11.4 51.8% 82.9%
Miller 8.8 38.4% 71.4%
Ashworth 6.1 35.7% 89.8%
Bairstow 3.7 47.4% 68.8%
Dorius 2.0 53.7% 41.2%
Shulga 1.6 34.2% 83.3%
I would point out that we have two freshmen coming in (Potter and LB), and 2 of the players that are listed in the stats were true freshmen (Shulga and Ashworth). We had a freshmen basically redshirting because of the COVID delays in Zapala, and we had McChesney out with an injury. We still have 2 open spots on top of all of that.

27 points per game with RJ and Horvath is a good path in the right direction.

Are we sure we are losing Marco Anthony?

Yes, he made a social media letter about leaving the Aggies and going into the transfer portal.

Oh, right! Thanks for refreshing me on that. So many things have happened, it's hard to keep up around here right now.

Whose "LB?" And is Potter confirmed?

I think LB is a Brenchley. Walk-on, IIRC. With Potter being a mission kid, I think chances are good we hang onto him unless Craig wants him at Utah. Odom does not at all seem the type that won’t honor a scholarship.

Hope so, seems talented. Just wondering if anyone has insight on whether or not he wants to return.
