Re: Queta
Nemi finished tied as the second highest scorer with 15 points. Nemi's team won by 40. Chad Ford (ESPN draft analyst) tweeted he thinks Queta has a shot at going in the 1st round.

Re: Queta
I’d love Neemi’s fit with Portland and the Mavs.
Please, for all that is holy, not the Lakers! He must not have gotten a promise from any team yet cause he’s still playing.

Re: Queta
Interesting he's talked to the Suns - I see Nemi as Deandre Ayton-light (no, I don't think he'll be as good as a former #1 draft pick who is tearing it up in the playoffs). Would be surprised if they went that direction.
Thanks for finding that info!

Re: Queta
Perhaps noteworthy is the fact that none of these teams has a 2nd round pick (Lakers have 22, Phoenix has 29, Portland and Dallas both have zero picks as of now). Talking to Queta is probably part of their due diligence to potentially buy back into the second round or scout guys who may go undrafted.

Re: Queta
That is what I was thinking - bringing him into camp/summer league as an undrafted free agent.I am an Aggie Man wrote: ↑June 25th, 2021, 12:01 pmPerhaps noteworthy is the fact that none of these teams has a 2nd round pick (Lakers have 22, Phoenix has 29, Portland and Dallas both have zero picks as of now). Re: Queta
I’d love that. Hope you are right.
I see him going mid to late second round.

Re: Queta
I haven't been able to find any posted yet and I wasn't keeping track but just from replaying the game in my mind I would say his line was something like: 7pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 steal, 1/2 blocks.
His match up against Maker was pretty tough. He did a lot of things today that won't show up in the box score. He helped on D and forced a few turnovers, he tipped balls to teammates or kept them alive on tips where his team eventually gained possession, and of course altered a few shots too as usual.

Re: Queta
Having watched the last two game, Queta was not as good yesterday. He got beat a lot by two different centers and was caught out of position a number of times. Now, he wasn't horrible. He had some great passes and made one phenomenal play where he stole the ball on the perimeter and went coast to coast. Where he gets drafted probably depends on individual workouts.
He is a special player and I am disappointed we didn't do more with him at Utah St.

Makur Maker, he went to Howard but only played a couple of games. He is Thon's cousin.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑June 25th, 2021, 11:36 pmWho is Maker and what school did he player for?Aglicious wrote: ↑June 25th, 2021, 11:28 pmI haven't been able to find any posted yet and I wasn't keeping track but just from replaying the game in my mind I would say his line was something like: 7pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 steal, 1/2 blocks.

Re: Queta
I’m bitter we didn’t get to see Queta and Merrill in the tournament the year it got cancelled. We were clicking coming off a win against a potential one seed. I just knew we were destined for a run that yearbpd wrote: ↑June 26th, 2021, 10:12 amHaving watched the last two game, Queta was not as good yesterday. Re: Queta
I do believe we would have won a game that year. Sam was on a mission and would have got it done.UStateTim wrote: ↑June 26th, 2021, 4:49 pmI’m bitter we didn’t get to see Queta and Merrill in the tournament the year it got cancelled.
