Re: Summer League
I went to watch the rumble in Las Vegas. It was a lot of fun to see Sam and Queta going at it.
It seemed like the Kings really made a concerted effort to pressure Sam and make things tough on him after the first quarter. Davion Mitchell was being really aggressive and Sam was complaining about not getting calls a couple of times. I was very impressed with Michell. He certainly lived up to his reputation as a very good defender. He was also hitting tough shots with hands in his face all night.
On one missed three it seemed to me that Sam was very clearly fouled on the shot but there was no call.
Queta was not very involved on offense but I can’t remember a single time anyone on the Kings intentionally passed him the ball. At least two of his baskets came after he got the offensive rebound.
On a side note, I was about two rows back from a certain someone wearing Ute gear who seemed to be affiliated with the U of U coaching staff. He seemed to be there to watch Sam and Queta.

Re: Summer League
Sam had 20 pts, 5 reb, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal in 23 minutes tonight. Nice for him to have a good showing. Hope this will help his cause going forward...

Re: Summer League
Yeah he looked good tonight. He was much more of a focal point than in previous games. It helped that Zaire and Bane didn't play. It allowed him to further show what he can do. I still think he'll probably spend the majority of time this upcoming season in the G League, but we'll see.
