Unfortunately they made another trade today and it will most likely result in Sam getting cut.. I hope not but it is not looking good

Rondo’s gonna get cut. Unless there’s another trade, 2 more of these guys would have to moved on from as well:

- Juan Hernangomez
- Sam Merrill
- Daniel Oturu

His contract is fully guaranteed for 2021-22, correct?

Hopefully he gets cut, finds a better situation, and can hold out for one more year in the NBA. Sam's future has always been a little more European than American, and honestly at this point it feels like he is playing with house money.

Merrill has a $500K guarantee on his contract and his $1.5MM deal will become fully guaranteed if he’s on Memphis’ roster through Sunday, ESPN’s Bobby Marks tweets. It’s uncertain whether Memphis plans to keep Merrill, a 2020 second-pick who appeared in 30 regular season games with the Bucks.

I think he moved pasted that date already so it is full.. but as far as I can tell so are the other 2 people ... So in short they have 3 guys for 1 spot.

The Valanciunas trade made it clear Memphis was punting their hopeful championship window a couple years down the road, which I think was a good move.

Now I'm a little less sure what they've been up to since then.

Looks like an NBA training regimen and diet has helped him lose his baby fat. He looked a lot leaner in that video than any of the years at USU.

I think the NBA allows teams to have 20 players on the roster in to the preseason, but they have to cut down to 15 before the season.

Scotty G reported several weeks ago that the Grizz had picked up the extra million and guaranteed his contract. Not sure what that means in terms of how he will get used but he will get paid.
