Predictions for tonight (11/27)

Post by SectionBAggie » October 27th, 2021, 9:51 am

Based on the history of this site, here are some predictions about tonight’s game:
1) someone will start that frustrates several posters. Same with minutes distribution.
2) Results of the game will not be able to eliminate discussion of whether these exhibition games are beneficial
3) A newcomer will shine creating a cult following
4) the crowd size will be over-analyzed
5) I am going to be ecstatic to be back in the Spectrum
6) I don’t expect the coach to do a High Five lap

Lol, nice list! I like #3. Who are some of the players we can think of that created a cult following from one of these exhibition games/events? Seems like a few freshmen like JC, Koby, Marcel Davis, and Jalen Moore surprised some folks and got fans in a frenzy pretty quickly. Bean’s legend seemed to get rooted after winning the dunk contest at the blue-white thingy didn’t it?

i went to a lot of the home games last year although they were not the same obviously. I am just excited to go back to games with crowds. I love college football and that is my first passion, but for me it is hard to beat attending games in the spectrum. I know it is not flashy, but I love that place and going to games there. Excited to see the new coach and his way of coaching. Excited to see the new transfers play.

Gilbert Pete and Shawn Daniels both got an early following.

Hoping to see big things from Horvath, Eytle-Rock, Jones, Thelissen, and Hamoda.

I joined the Bean cult during his first exhibition game.

Prediction will be that it is Hamoda who gets the cult following. His athleticism will wow some people. His knowledge of the offense, defense and three-point shooting will not allow him to supplant all of Miller's time which will throw some posters into a tizzy.

I predict we will be over half-way through the season and people will still be saying "we don't know who this team is yet".

I predict I'm going to have a great time at the Spectrum, I'll get overhyped about most of the talent, and I'll complain all season long that you guys keep calling Dorius "serviceable".

I predict someone in chat will say "we suck" if we aren't ahead by 10 the first 5 minutes
