Re: The traveling no-call
I’m not sure it was a travel. At the game in person I thought it was a travel after seeing the replay I don’t think it was.

Re: The traveling no-call
He didn't really establish a pivot foot or it would have been a travel. He "gathers" (whatever this means) and takes two steps- I don't think it was a travel either.

Re: The traveling no-call
It's possible his third step was completed before he let the ball go. You can't tell from this angle. Pretty incredible how thousands of students saw the travel in real-time and all did the travel signal in unison.

Re: The traveling no-call
This is basically a 5 step no call is wild
He shuffled his feet, walked, and jumped then passed.

Re: The traveling no-call
What? He took two steps. No shuffling his feet, no jump.. I don’t thinks its a travel. It’s close but I think it was the right call to let it go.

Where is Miller's defense on the drive/layup?
For him being a good defender it sure seems like he can be easily driven past.

Re: The traveling no-call
I think SLB is referring to the guy that crossed the key and passed out to the 3, not the shooter. I thought that one was a more obvious travel than what the shooter did.

Re: The traveling no-call
Yes it is the guy who passed to the cutter. Way more than two steps. Obvious travel. Bad no call.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2021, 12:42 pmI think SLB is referring to the guy that crossed the key and passed out to the 3, not the shooter. Re: The traveling no-call
Eh- It's pretty obvious to see what everyone reacts too, but I dont think its a travel. I'm as big of an Aggie homer as anyone, but maybe you missed his last dribble. He dribbles the ball and "gathers" as he spins- he then takes two steps and passes it. I think it could technically be a travel, but the way the game is called nowadays this is not something you see get called. Its an easy travel call if he had established a pivot foot, but he doesn't. It doesn't look to me like the foot comes down on the last step before he gets the pass off either, but there might be a case there for a travel.GeoAg wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2021, 12:43 pmYes it is the guy who passed to the cutter. Re: The traveling no-call
There is a case for traveling, but those don't get called in today's game.
Re: The traveling no-call
If I recall Bairstow did a similar move twice in the game, one was called for traveling and one was not.

Re: The traveling no-call
If that is not a travel because he dribbled one more time then it is at least a carry and double dribble. Watch the move before that last dribble. He makes a drop step move backwards while carrying the ball in that hand then spins back forward towards the lane and then dribbles again. That is a carry or double dribble. Take your pick. Just watch the motion of the ball.
