Re: Rob Whaley
Aside from the visual, there are some statistical similarities to (the very high bar of) Shawn Daniels.

He played over here at Farmington Jr High a few years ago. They aren't typically a great team, but they were very good with him.

I've seen him play against snow college and he was very good. He has a nastiness too him that I like

Re: Rob Whaley
He's super athletic. Gets up fast and with burst. Uses his body well. Runs the floor hard. CSI never asked him to, but he can shoot from outside. Teammates love him. Has quads and glutes like Donald Penn.
I've heard Kyle Whittingham was willing to give him a scholarship for football despite never playing in high school.

Re: Rob Whaley
He has the potential but needs better coaching. Most times CSI just rolls the ball out there on offense, and then they play like 15 guys every game so players don't always get consistent PT.slcagg wrote: ↑September 20th, 2022, 5:59 pmMwc starter quality?hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑September 20th, 2022, 4:32 pmHe's super athletic. Re: Rob Whaley
Thank you for posting.
I’m not asking as a criticism to you posting but I’m genuinely curious. Is this church league? Some of those kids look like they are 10.

Yeah, I've seen more competitive games at the YMCA. Everyone looks like they are in slow-mo lazily jogging around. Modou Niang approves of this highlight reel.
Honestly do like his size, wide body and fairly smooth lefty stroke.

Re: Rob Whaley
From watching the highlights and looking at the height size, he was thought to be too short and slow. I do find that he has potential because of his power forward skills, horizontal size, and wingspan.

Re: Rob Whaley
according to the assistant AD he had no offers out of high school because his HS coach "never played him in the post". I know I've seen high school highlights of him as a post player, but I think what he means is his coach didn't post him up on offense or go through the post with their offensive scheme.

He also said he believes there was a lot of interest from D1 football teams despite never playing a down in high school.

I'll bet he could play tight end or tackle and be awesome.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2022, 10:29 amHe also said he believes there was a lot of interest from D1 football teams despite never playing a down in high school.

Yup. He's surprisingly quick with great burst and motor. Re: Rob Whaley
But can he play QB and throw the ball 70 yards so the commentators can talk about it every game?aggies22 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2022, 11:12 amI'll bet he could play tight end or tackle and be awesome.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2022, 10:29 amHe also said he believes there was a lot of interest from D1 football teams despite never playing a down in high school.
