Tai's dunk made Sports Center top plays

Post by feeah » November 18th, 2010, 9:03 am

Tai's dunk at the beginning of the game made the late edition of Sportscenter top plays as #5. I was at the game and couldn't tell what happened on that play, but I thought in the end the dunk didn't count, was I wrong?

The dunk did count, but Tai missed the and-one. The dunk WAS awesome.

After the dunk, you gotta love how Tai stood over Collinsworth for that split second, looking down at him, as well.

I noticed this as well and was surprised nothing was called on Tai. I think he turned away just in time to receive no reprimand from the officials.

I just watched it on SportsCenter (just before noon Central time). The SC reel just restarted, so try and get to a TV just before noon MST.

Orrrrrr . . . he was deciding whether the kid was hurt and needed a hand up. Facial expressions don't necessarily mean much in the middle of a hotly contested game.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

     Yeah, THAT'S EXACTLY what Tai was thinking. "Let's help the poor kid up." I think 'Sap is right on: Tai caught himself just at the right moment to avoid a technical.

Their post was jumping to the double team on the guard like that all night. Brady did something similar and scored later int he game.

Totally awesome. I thought Collinsworth was going to wet himself as Tai stared him into a cower.
