For whatever reason, we never fare well in these prognostications. We could be returning our entire team and there would still be collective amnesia that we are always a force in the Mountain West. We’re just not sexy so everyone forgets.
I’d guess the majority of those teams have a solid roster chunk in the portal.

It would be a mistake for Boise State to lose RA3. RA3 has 2 remaining years, and he has a good ceiling. If RA3 hit the portal, it would be a good player to pursue for us.

His shooting needs work, but his assist/TO and Steal/TO numbers improved. In BSU's case with Degenhart, Agbo, and Stanley on their last year, they might feel their window is too small to wait on Roddy to get better. Balls to the wall approach.
If we haven't contacted Cardenas, I hope the new staff has something pretty good lined up. Dude deserves a serious look by anyone needing a PG.

Every single player is on a one year contract. The days of worrying about how many years a guy has left are over unless you’re a big program with NIL to burn. It is bummer that Boise State got him instead of us, but it keeps Boise State being a good team in-conference which helps with the NCAA tournament.

Then we’re all going to complain about SJSU being sub-200 NET next year… sucks for them. Boise is incredible at recruiting, always have been. Almost as good as they are at whining.

Roddie started alongside Max Rice last year. I imagine this isn't a worry for Leon, and he's looking at refilling for Max more than it is benching Roddie.
