SDSU got smacked by UConn, so clearly none of SDSU's players would be able to hold their weight in the Big East.

Are you thinking LeDee wouldn’t be an above average starter in the Big East?

I should have added a /s at the end of the post. He certainly would, as would most of their team.

It's a reference to another poster, who doesn't think any of our guys from last year would be above average players in the Big 10 based on one game against an elite Big 10 team.

The gap between the very best teams and everyone else is bigger than many suspect.

We'd have made it to the sweet 16 as a 5 seed. Assuming Sprinkle cared enough try. But nobody cares.

One thing that's funny is how many people are like me in liking this upset in basketball, but being one who would go for North Carolina in a football matchup!

I for one would love nothing more than for Alabama basketball to suck. Too many Alabama fans that will crow about their basketball team while never having attended a game and likely only know one or two player names, if that. Seriously, I respect BYU basketball fans more than them.

Bama basketball has really taken off since you moved from Huntsville. There is a lot of enthusiasm for the team around the state, and their average attendance is over 11,000 per game. It's quite a bit different from the Anthony Grant and Avery Johnson days. I'll admit that Bama fans can be obnoxious sometimes, but Bama is more than just a football school.

Fair enough. I haven't lived out there for a few years, now.

I'm betting Purdue will win it all, and count me as someone not convinced we would have made it to the S16 as a 5th seed, DS wanted to be done with us quickly and it showed after the TCU game.

Pretty sure he'd love to have a sweet 16 appearance on his resume. I'm also pretty sure he'd love for his guys to make it to the sweet 16. Most of all I'm pretty sure he'd love to get the bonus $ he'd get paid from making it to the sweet 16.
