If we get some “run it back” tweets/instas from Great, Ian, etc. tomorrow I’m gonna have a massive Aggasm.

Re: GREAT things?
I think we may benefit from the situation we find ourselves in with a bunch of guys with 1 year of eligibility left. As has been mentioned, several of them have tranferred a few times now and really don't want to do it again. If they like each other (which seems apparent) then I can see why they would make the decision to stick together for their last year. Hopefully we can get them paid a little too for wanting to stay.

Re: GREAT things?
Agreed especially knowing how they're going to be treated in Logan with a really good homecourt advantage. That will go a long ways in keeping some of those guys that don't want to have to go through the transfer process again.Aglicious wrote: ↑March 29th, 2024, 10:16 pmI think we may benefit from the situation we find ourselves in with a bunch of guys with 1 year of eligibility left. Re: GREAT things?
This plus the rumored retention of coaches! Oh and the fact the collective has stated that we’ll be paying around 500k for our starting 5, but who knows how much it will end up costing.Aglicious wrote: ↑March 29th, 2024, 10:16 pmI think we may benefit from the situation we find ourselves in with a bunch of guys with 1 year of eligibility left. Re: GREAT things?
My dreams would come true with a run back the core of the current roster
Until the first game tips I'll still be nervous of who's staying and leaving. Maybe fall practice, but there's a long summer of uncertainty I feel

I could care less if he stays in Logan because he got an NIL bag or because he likes the Spectrum or likes the hiking or he likes the women. If he truly is staying, I am ecstatic.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑March 29th, 2024, 10:04 pmSounds like Great is getting a bag to stay in Logan. No real other explanation.

No, Eric Laub commented that to be competitive in the conference it was about an average $100k NIL deal for a MWC level starter - meaning you would need $500k just to secure a starting 5. I think some guys are getting more and some less, it was just an average figure.
We know Ashworth was getting about $90k his last year at USU with almost no collective to speak of then. Some other articles have suggested it would take about a $1M NIL war chest to sign a full decent roster at our level.
