Looks like that we found our PG (looking at the offers that Stephan Swenson has).

They did, both Charleston and Santa Barbara have good basketball programs. Hopefully Calhoun can seal the deal, seems like a solid PG.

Looks like Swenson and Gatereste are both from Belgium. Be interesting if they decide to commit to the same team.

Re: Potential Portal Point Guards
We’re on Jalen Blackmon’s list as well but that’s probably a long shot. He’s got interest from Kansas, Kentucky (and probably Arkansas now) as well as a few others.

Those Stetson dudes look like they’d be solid pickups on paper.

If all 3 come here, it would be a home run transfer portal deal.bluegrouse wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:05 pmWe’re on Jalen Blackmon’s list as well but that’s probably a long shot. He’s got interest from Kansas, Kentucky (and probably Arkansas now) as well as a few others.

I highly doubt Blackmon would come here. If he has interest from all those other schools he has some good money on the tableSLB wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:11 pmIf all 3 come here, it would be a home run transfer portal deal.bluegrouse wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:05 pmWe’re on Jalen Blackmon’s list as well but that’s probably a long shot. Yep. It would be an absolute stunner if he did. I only listed him because of his other two teammates that were looking at.slcagg wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:15 pmI highly doubt Blackmon would come here. I am surprised about us pursuing Blackmon, but we have the whole teammates being on a winning team in our favor.slcagg wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:15 pmI highly doubt Blackmon would come here. Good observation

Did a cursory scan of Stetson’s assistants and didn’t see any obvious historical overlaps with Calhoun but that doesn’t really mean anything…Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 9:19 pmI wonder if we’re getting a Stetson coach on our staff

Stenson assistant coach Finney went to Fairmont State for college.
They would probably know each other despite the different time periods.

I saw that but Finney was there in 1985. They may know each other. Who knows.

Blackmon is an absolute stud. I watched him drop 40 in their conference championship game. It’s a long shot to get him but he would be awesome.
I like both of the other guys too. Probably a better chance of getting them.
