Soccer is also getting a new scoreboard

Along with football and softball, soccer will be getting a new scoreboard as well.

Because it's hard to keep track of the one goal scored per match. [WINKING FACE]

Last year averaged 2.6 goals per Aggie game, but yeah, let's keep the "soccer is super-low scoring" narrative going.

and yeah, I know you had the wink face. I'm not picking on you personally.

Even a shop teacher could keep score at a soccer game.

That's a goal every 34.6 minutes, is that high scoring?

That's great for the soccer team. I'm getting sick if all the BS people post on here. There is no need to make fun of it. As far as I care you can all go to hell.

Grass grows 1/16 of an inch during soccer games (my guesstimate), much more interesting.

Relax a bit, people are going to hate soccer, not much you can do about it - and you surely won't change their "superior minds". I'm just pissed about Fussball this weekend since Germany got blown out by the french on Thursday and i can't decide for whom to root in the finals of the most competitve tournament in the world tomorrow

Just get a three bead counter poll. Push a bead over when a goal is scored. That should cover it.

So I was just kidding. I love soccer and baseball for similar reasons.

I also love how sensitive hard core soccer fans get about any criticism.

That equates to 18.2 points in football. Not exactly a snoozer.

Also get rid of ties and make the clock count down rather than up and also have a definitive clock...stoppage time is stupid.

I don't want the clock to count down, the direction doesn't matter. But a firm clock would be great. They have the technology to synchronize the ref's clock with the scoreboard so that the ref would still be the official time keeper. This way the players would be able to look at the clock and know exactly how much time is left and they'd be able to see when the ref is stopping the time while the pansy who is acting injured get's carried off the field. Viewers would also get the drama of the rare occasion when the ball crossing the goal line right as time expires. It would also get rid of the way the ref allows time to continue when a scoring chance is taking place, waiting for the score or the clearance to call half/full time. This is the real poison of the soft clock, IMO.

I also think they need to add 1 substitution for each extra period. If we want to settle the game during play instead of with PKs, put more fresh legs out there to run the tired legs ragged.

Make anyone who stops the game at the end sit out for a penalty time.

Any player that stays down for 10 seconds or more should be required to leave the game for at least 3 minutes. It would cut the flopping down. No ref ever gives yellows for simulation.

There is no stoppage time in college soccer, guys. AND the clock counts down. AND women's sports don't have much flopping, if any at all. Wait, are we not talking about USU soccer anymore?
