2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
We're in the process of designing the 2018-19 Gameday shirt. We'd like to get some feedback from alumni and students alike, so we've created a short survey. While we don't care if you share the potential designs with family and friends, we'd ask that you keep both the designs and the link to this survey off of social media — at least for the time being. We're trying to keep our focus groups limited at this point. Appreciate your feedback though!

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
Is it overkill to share this in the other forums on the site, or should I just leave it here? Personally, I spend most my time in the football and basketball forums and don't go into the general forum all that often. Thoughts?

I'm fine if you want to share it on other forums as well. Hopefully you get a lot of feedback.TheRealTO wrote:Is it overkill to share this in the other forums on the site, or should I just leave it here? I actually just made it a Global Announcement, which will show at the top of each forum - PA must have replied as I was taking this action, because this post wasn't there...ProvoAggie wrote: ↑January 20th, 2018, 9:52 amI'm fine if you want to share it on other forums as well. Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
Also, I'm happy to engage in dialogue regarding the current iterations if anyone feels so inclined. One of the most asked for things in regards to the next gameday shirt has been a large logo. Along with that, one of the bookstore's biggest requests is for more stuff with the bull logo. Hence the inspiration for what you see here.
We had 5-6 designs we took to some focus groups on campus. The two in the survey were the most popular amongst the student crowd.
We are open to other wording besides True Blooded.
Please continue to leave feedback on the survey, but if you have any questions or would like to expound, I'll answer the best that I can!

True blooded is cool. Love the bull. Never ever put a year on it.

If you put text in the butt, write "Are you checking out my A?" In small printTheRealTO wrote:You don't have to worry about that!BigBlueDart wrote: ↑January 20th, 2018, 1:46 pmDone. Under comments I added "Please, no text on butt this year."

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
I’m only disappointed because game day shirts have stopped being game day shirts.
It’s just an Aggie shirt. I like Aggie shirts. But I’m probably in the minority on that I want something to differentiate game day shirts from other shirts with the bull on it.
I miss when they had the year on them too. My T-shirt drawer could have been like a scrapbook a walk in time of Aggies. But now I rarely feel like getting a game day shirt.

Can you expound on what types of things you would consider different than other shirts with the bull on them? Anything else besides the year?Imakeitrain wrote: ↑January 21st, 2018, 9:39 amI’m only disappointed because game day shirts have stopped being game day shirts.

I have a t-shirt blanket made out of the first decade or so of gameday shirts and the dates are pretty hit or miss on those.
Hopefully we find something that appeals to the masses though. We sent out the same survey to various groups of students, and it's interesting to see the differences and similarities in the results between the groups so far.

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
I'm with you on this one. I already have several shirts just like this one and so do my kids. I'm not really sure what the incentive would be to purchase one of these. It looks just like every other bull shirt that is out there. If it were foil or chrome it would only give me more reason to not buy it but maybe that is what the kids like these days. Man...that made me feel old to type.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑January 21st, 2018, 9:39 amI’m only disappointed because game day shirts have stopped being game day shirts.

If I saw someone with this on, I wouldn't think "oh yeah, it's game day".

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
I just like being able to get a cheap Aggie shirt every year. The only shirt that I can specifically think of in recent memory that stands out as a "gameday shirt" was the "it's not crazy, it's gameday" shirt. To be fair, that is my favorite, though it probably has something to do with justifying my gameday rituals like the suit and the horns on the car, etc.

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
While I like the bull design, it really does look like any other shirt. Most students have a dozen shirts that are nearly identical. I like it when it has a great phrase on it. However, I am not a bit fan of "True Blooded" maybe its just the format that it is currently written on. It think its a good start but not quite a shirt that I would buy.

Re: 2018-19 Gameday Shirt Survey
Instead of "True Blooded" it could say "I know the spot!" i.e. where the sagebrush grows
So "I Know The Spot!" in Big Type, angled or whatever.
The below it in smaller type, "Because It's Gameday." or something.
Just kibbitzing.

Great! How about True HEARTED??? Like the actual friggin' words of "The Scottsman", not what everyone lately seems to THINK are the words!!!TheRealTO wrote: ↑January 20th, 2018, 3:26 pmAlso, I'm happy to engage in dialogue regarding the current iterations if anyone feels so inclined. Frankly, I just wear blue Aggie gear to games. That is the ONLY color I will wear.
