Semi-seriously, what if a booster won a big Powerball or Mega-Millions jackpot, how much of an investment would it take to secure a USU invite? The investors are being asked to invest a minimum of $100 million. Would the $100 million be enough to secure a USU invite, or do you think it would require becoming the sole investor of the full $750 million?

In the world of collegiate athletics, 100 million does not go very far. It would pay for about six months of the operating budget of the Alabama or Ohio State athletic department, and when schools in the major conferences are spending 250 million to 500 million to upgrade their facilities, 100 million is a drop in the bucket. A PAC-12 invite would at least go a long ways to securing the financial stability of the program and keep USU in collegiate athletics highest level.

The problem in getting a Pac-12 invite goes deeper than money, we are located in a small city, we do not have air service, no local T.V. station. With the U in the pac-12 a invite would never come our way.

You are correct. Which is why this thread exists. How much of an investment would it require for the PAC-12 to overlook all of those shortcomings and add USU. I have a hard time imagining the conference turning down $750 million if it was contingent on adding USU.

That would be $62.5 M per school.
