Are Penn and Turbin done?
After being released by the Raiders and Colts respectively, it doesn't look like either have signed anywhere. Teams might be wary of Penn's age (36) or Turbin's PED suspension last year, but both have been solid contributors and probably still have a little in their tanks.
Nobody here knows anything.

Re: Are Penn and Turbin done?
Turbin is waiting for the draft. He could end up at the Raiders.
Penn told me he is also waiting for the draft and he thinks he has a couple of years left in him.

I think once training camps begin and teams start to figure what personnel they need to add Penn will get a call. From what I understand there hasn't been much interest in Turbin.

I'm being fecetious because that's what both of them said at the spring game. I would think they would have a spot of they are going to play this year.

Re: Are Penn and Turbin done?
Interesting viewpoint. However, I disagree.
I think Penn has a far greater shot than Turbin. Yes Penn is older and injured- but Penn was not that long ago one of the better Tackles in the league. He's the type of player I think a team takes a chance on if they are trying to bolster their line (or if they are desperate). Signing Penn is relatively low risk, potentially high reward.
Turbin is a running back that had a career he should be proud of. Hopefully someone picks him up.
If I needed a lineman on my team, Penn would be someone I would strongly consider- one of the top contenders. The only reason I'd strongly consider Turbin is because I would make an incredibly bias GM that would want as many Aggies that I could maybe justify.

Re: Are Penn and Turbin done?
I believe there is a rule in the CBA where veteran contracts are guaranteed for the full season unless the player is signed after week 1, so many teams looking for a 1 year stop-gap vet with little tread left on the tires will wait until then. I think that's likely with Penn - unless a team has a starting tackle go down in the preseason and want someone they can plug in right away.
I think Turbin might have a tougher road ahead
