Interesting Observation at Disneyland

Post by HomeTown » January 31st, 2020, 11:17 pm

So I come to Disneyland at this time every year with my family. Usually, I see a bunch of BYU gear and then a fair amount of Utah stuff with a little Aggie stuff sprinkled in. This year it seemed different. I saw the most Utah stuff and then the level of BYU and Utah State gear was about equal. I don't know if it really means anything, but just something interesting I noticed this year.

I didn't know that. I was surprised by the count.

I went recently and unfortunately saw probably about 7 BYU fans, 3-4 U of U, and not a single piece of Aggie apparel.

I always wore my Aggie gear when we live in Anaheim Hills and had season passes. I even stood in line once next to a guy with a Ute shirt on. People around us were commenting that it must feel awkward. I'm like "meh, I'm also a ute, so..."

I went into my local Kohls the other day (I rarely if ever go there) with my wife and I'm walking through the young men's section looking for some cool shirts for my kids and there's a mannequin with a Ute shirt on. I audibly laughed when I saw it. Funny thing is I see a lot of people where I live with Ute shirts and stickers on their cars, and my son played FB with the son of a couple who moved here recently from South Jordan who are big Ute fans.

The worst is going to ward outings and having over 50% in BYU gear and then like 30% in Utah gear...

That’s incredible to see that many UTAH fans. But how many PAC12 fans did you see...?

My observation: compared to magic mountain, Disneyland is triple the cost and half the fun.

This is the most true thing that's ever been posted on this board.

We had MM passes for three straight years, we always had a blast and I rode all the rides with the kids and always had a great time. The only downer was the 3 hr drive to and from, and the crowd at MM is... well different, but that's what made it even more fun :)

Are we really talking about how many USU hats we see at Disneyland?

We only pay attention to hats when they're in the the mall.

Disney yesterday. Six flags today. At 6 flags the only wait we have is when we choose the front row. It’s like a ghost town here today.
